Welcome to the high adventure of Scouting in Troop 7.  We put the Outing in Scouting – enjoying the great outdoors, the smell of bacon over an open fire, the thrill of seeing deer up close and the flash of silver paddles, while rafting the river rapids.  Our leadership consists of people who enjoy hiking, camping and backpacking and more.  They will teach you their skills so that you will feel comfortable out there.  We meet on Mondays at 7:30 PM at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church on 419.

All boys regardless of race, religion or national origin are welcome in Troop 7.  Boy Scouting encompasses graduating Webelos at age 10 ½  and boys ages 11 (or in the sixth grade) to 18.

Parental Participation

Troop 7 has a solid adult leader core.  The primary role of parents is the encouragement of their sons plus helping with transportation and special events.  Parents are also welcome to voluntarily serve on our Troop committee.  The Troop Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 @ Our Lady of Nazareth.

Troop 7 is a complete uniform Scout Troop.  Each boy is expected to have the full official uniform of the Boy Scouts of America including: long or short sleeve shirt with green shoulder loops, long trousers (official – no substitutes) and belt (Scout shorts are optional in the summer).    The new Scout will also need an official Scout Handbook.

Troop 7 does not want any boy to be excluded from Scouting due to finances.  If there are financial problems preventing participation please discuss them confidentially with the Scoutmaster.
